Year 11 & 12 Parent Teacher Interviews

When: 5:00pm - 6:00pm Tuesday 11 August

Where: JHS Learning Centre

What: Year 11 and 12 Parent-Teacher Interviews will be held next week in the Learning Centre/Library. This is a valuable opportunity for parents and carers to discuss their child's progress, achievements and goals with their teachers. Interviews can be booked through Sentral. If you experience any difficulties making a booking, please contact the school for assistance.

Child Studies Excursion

When: 11:15am - 12:45pm Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 August

Where: Junee Kids and Junee Preschool

What: As part of their Child Studies course, students will visit Junee Kids and Junee Preschool to explore how play supports the development of young children. During the excursion, students will observe play experiences and learning environments, completing a worksheet to gather information that will support their upcoming assessment task.

Year 7 Water Safety Program

When: 1:00pm - 2:30pm Thursday 30 July

Where: Junee Rec Centre

What: As part of the Term 3 PDHPE program, Year 7 students will participate in a five-week Aquatics and Lifesaving Program at the Junee Rec Centre during sport. Students will develop swimming, water safety, rescue and resuscitation skills while building confidence in aquatic environments. The program supports classroom learning on risk-taking behaviour and addresses key outcomes of the NSW PDHPE K–10 syllabus.

Tenpin Bowling Competition

When: 10:45am - 3:00pm Friday 12 August

Where: Wagga Wagga Bowling Centre

What: Selected students will represent Junee High School at the Inclusive School Sport Tenpin Bowling Competition. Competing in the secondary division, the team will play two games, with combined scores determining their overall result. The competition provides students with the opportunity to represent the school in an inclusive sporting environment, with the top three teams from each region progressing to the state finals.

Made For A Trade

When: Friday 14 August

Where: NSW TAFE Wagga Wagga Campus

What: Selected Year 10 students will participate in the Made for a Trade program, designed to explore careers in the building and construction industry. Through TAFE taster days, industry tours, guest speakers and compulsory work experience, students will gain hands-on experience in a range of trades while exploring future education, training and apprenticeship pathways.
