Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Our school events may include:

sports carnivals
NAIDOC Week and Book Week events
excursions and incursions
performances, concerts or school productions
fundraising, charity and community events
award assemblies
graduation and other celebrations.

OMNIA Inclusive Employment Solutions School Visit

When: 9:15am - 10:15am Monday 7 September

Where: JHS

What: OMNIA Inclusive Employment Solutions will be visiting Junee High School to deliver a series of sessions focused on workplace readiness, communication, teamwork and post-school transition skills. The sessions will support students to build confidence, identify their personal strengths and prepare for future employment, further education and independent living opportunities.

Parent Teacher Conference (Stage 4 & 5)

When: Tuesday 8 September

Where: JHS MPC

What: Stage 4 and 5 Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held at school, providing parents and carers with an opportunity to discuss their child’s progress, learning and achievements with their teachers. Interviews can be booked through Sentral. Please contact the school if you require assistance with making a booking.

AgVision Excursion

When: 6:30am - 4:30pm Wednesday 9 September

Where: Yanco Agricultural High School

What: Selected students in Years 9–11 will attend AgVision at Yanco, an agricultural careers event bringing together students from schools across the Riverina-Murray region. Students will participate in hands-on workshops delivered by local industry representatives, exploring a wide range of topics and career opportunities within the agricultural sector. With more than 60 workshops available, students had the opportunity to pre-register for sessions that align with their interests.

State Athletics Carnival

When: Wednesday 9 September - Friday 11 September

Where: Sydney Athletic Centre, Edwin Flack Ave, Sydney Olympic Park

What: Selected students will travel to Sydney to compete at the State Athletics Carnival, representing Junee High School against some of the best school athletes from across NSW. Reaching the state level is an incredible achievement and a wonderful reflection of the students’ hard work, dedication and talent.
