Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Our school events may include:

sports carnivals
NAIDOC Week and Book Week events
excursions and incursions
performances, concerts or school productions
fundraising, charity and community events
award assemblies
graduation and other celebrations.

Small Schools Rugby League Final

When: Wednesday 19 August

Where: Jack Arrow Oval, Bathurst

What: The Small Schools Rugby League team has progressed to the final, which will be held in Bathurst. The match will consist of 11 players per side, with 25-minute halves.

Students travelling by private coach will depart Junee High School at approximately 6:00am and return around 5:30pm. The game will kick off at 11:00am.

William Rubensohn Foundation Visit

When: 2:15pm - 3:15pm Wednesday 19 August

Where: JHS

What: A small team from the William Rubensohn Foundation will be visiting Junee High School and meeting with current scholarship recipients for afternoon tea. The visit provides an opportunity for students to connect with representatives from the Foundation and discuss their scholarship experience.

HSC Trials

When: Thursday 20 August - Friday 28 August

Where: Room 16 JHS

What: Year 12 students will undertake their HSC Trial examinations as they prepare for their final HSC examinations. The trials provide students with an opportunity to practise exam conditions, assess their understanding of course content and identify areas for further preparation ahead of the HSC.

Year 7 Water Safety Program

When: 1:00pm - 2:30pm Thursday 20 August

Where: Junee Rec Centre

What: As part of the Term 3 PDHPE program, Year 7 students will participate in a five-week Aquatics and Lifesaving Program at the Junee Rec Centre during sport. Students will develop swimming, water safety, rescue and resuscitation skills while building confidence in aquatic environments. The program supports classroom learning on risk-taking behaviour and addresses key outcomes of the NSW PDHPE K–10 syllabus.

Made For A Trade

When: Friday 21 August

Where: NSW TAFE Wagga Wagga Campus

What: Selected Year 10 students will participate in the Made for a Trade program, designed to explore careers in the building and construction industry. Through TAFE taster days, industry tours, guest speakers and compulsory work experience, students will gain hands-on experience in a range of trades while exploring future education, training and apprenticeship pathways.
