Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Our school events may include:

NAIDOC Week and Book Week events

fundraising, charity and community events

Year 10 Wellbeing Excursion

Date: Monday 8 December

Location: Canberra Outlet, 337 Canberra Ave, Fyshwick ACT

Time: 7:00am - 5:00pm

Eligible Year 10 students are invited to join an end-of-year wellbeing excursion to Canberra. The day will begin with a fun and engaging driving-range session at the Canberra International Golf Centre. Students will then travel to the Canberra Outlet Centre for lunch and supervised free time to explore the shops.

Year 7-9 Rewards Afternoon

Date: Monday 8 December

Location: Junee Recreation Centre, 151 Lorne St, Junee NSW

Time: 12:00pm - 3:18pm

Selected students from Years 7–9 will be invited to spend an afternoon at the Junee Recreational Centre, taking part in structured activities including swimming and use of the slide. This excursion serves as a reward for students who have consistently upheld our core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Excellence throughout Semester Two. It is an opportunity to recognise their positive behaviour and commitment to our school expectations.

Floristry Workshop

Date: Tuesday 9 December

Location: JHS MPC

Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm

Students have the opportunity to work alongside a local florist to create floral arrangements for the annual school presentation night. During the session, they will develop practical flower-arranging skills and learn about the pathway to becoming a florist, including what the career involves.
