Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Our school events may include:

sports carnivals
NAIDOC Week and Book Week events
excursions and incursions
performances, concerts or school productions
fundraising, charity and community events
award assemblies
graduation and other celebrations.

Small Schools Rugby League

When: Wednesday 19 July

Where: Parramore Park, Wagga Wagga

What: Selected students have progressed to the next stage of the Small Schools Rugby League Carnival and will travel to Parramore Park, Wagga Wagga to represent the school. The U14s will kick off at 11:30am, followed by the U16s at 1:00pm. A canteen will be available at the venue throughout the day.

Year 7 Water Safety Program

When: 1:00pm - 2:30pm Thursday 30 July

Where: Junee Rec Centre

What: As part of the Term 3 PDHPE program, Year 7 students will participate in a five-week Aquatics and Lifesaving Program at the Junee Rec Centre during sport. Students will develop swimming, water safety, rescue and resuscitation skills while building confidence in aquatic environments. The program supports classroom learning on risk-taking behaviour and addresses key outcomes of the NSW PDHPE K–10 syllabus.

Riverina Athletics Carnival

When: Friday 31 July

Where: Les O'Brien Athletics Precint, Albury

What: Selected students will travel to Albury to compete in the Riverina Athletics Carnival at the Les O'Brien Athletics Precinct. Students will represent Junee High School in a range of track and field events, with the opportunity to compete against the region's top athletes and strive for selection at the next level of competition.

Made For A Trade

When: Friday 31 July

Where: NSW TAFE Wagga Wagga Campus

What: Selected Year 10 students will participate in the Made for a Trade program, designed to explore careers in the building and construction industry. Through TAFE taster days, industry tours, guest speakers and compulsory work experience, students will gain hands-on experience in a range of trades while exploring future education, training and apprenticeship pathways.
