University of Canberra Explore Day

Date: 22 May
Time: 5:30 AM-6:00 PM
Location: University of Canberra, 11 Kirinari St, Bruce

Explore UC is a hands-on, student-simulation opportunity for Year 10 to 12 students to get a taste of university life. Students will get to build their own itinerary to sample what UC has to offer, including faculty workshops, campus activities, and more. It’s a great way to tour the campus and live the UC student life before deciding on where students wish to study. On the day, students are to meet at the school bus stop area and will travel to Canberra via a chartered bus. Full school uniform is to be worn and lunch will be provided. Students will return at 6pm to the school bus stop area. Permission notes are to be completed via School Bytes.

YLead Altitude Day

Date: 27 May
Time: 6:00 AM-5:00 PM
Location: Canberra

Altitude Day, presented by YLead, was created as a personal growth and leadership program for year 9 students. It aims to teach students how to be active leaders in their school and community, challenging them to step outside of their comfort zone so they can make a positive impact at their school. Students are required to wear full school uniform and bring their own food and water.

Zone Athletics Carnival

Date: 28 May
Time: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Location: Nixon Park, Temora

The zone athletics carnival will be held at Nixon Park in Temora. Students not travelling on the school bus will need to find their own transportation to and from the event which commences at 9am and concludes at 3pm. Canteen facilities will be available. Good luck to all students competing!

The Honours Assembly will be held during Thursday assembly time in week 5 to recognise the hard work and dedication of our students as they move up a level in the Honours System.

English Studies Excursion

Date: 30 May
Time: 9:00-10:46 AM
Location: Junee Community

Year 11 and 12 English Studies classes will be exploring the Junee township to develop an understanding of the town's history and travel facilities. This excursion aligns with the classes 'Travel' and 'Exploring Our Past' units of learning, allowing students to gain perspective on the relationship between travel and historical devleopment.

Be a Health Hero Program

Date: 03 - 06 June 2025
Time: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Location: Wagga Wagga

The Be a Health Hero! program provides students with hands-on workshops and activities that introduce them to exciting careers in nursing, allied health, and medicine. The program not only gives insight into the requirements of a career in health but also gives students the opportunity to develop foundational skills they could apply to a future career. The program takes place over multiple locations to give students a variety of experiences. Tuesday - Wagga Wagga Base Hospital Wednesday - TAFE NSW Thursday - Calvary Riverina Hospital Friday - Wagga Wagga Base Hospital Students are to wear full school uniform, and morning tea and lunch will be provided.
